My class at school

I am in second grade. Most of the kids in my class used to live with their families in Mexico. I think it's pretty cool being a Spanish-speaking kid. Lots of people don't know Spanish, so you can teach them. My teacher's name is Mrs. P***. Her son is in my class, and his name is Diego. Diego is a friend of mine, and he calls me Izzieboo. He pronounces it in a cute little baby way. I learn a lot of Spanish, even more than I learned in 1st grade last year. Right now, we are learning time (am and pm) for math. I got my report card this week, and I got good grades. I enjoy math and science best, but I also like PE and computers. I like writing and reading too, but that's harder for me because it's always in Spanish all day, every day.

Hi Isabel -

I cant tell you how proud I am of your achievments at school. Learning two languages is not easy! Congradulations on your report card. I bet your mommy & daddy were very happy! Now give them a big hug!!!

Zayde and I are so very proud of you!
You work very hard at school, and that is good. Learning another language is not easy, but it gets easier the longer you study it. And it is so nice when you can talk to others from another country in their own language.

Hugs and kisses,
Grandma Rosanne
